Summer has officially started! ☀ And to proudly tell you, I have already started working at my dad’s as his student secretary last Tuesday. And honestly, it’s kind of a love/hate matter for the reason that it’s stoning me to death (mainly because of boredom), but it’s love because I’m earning. Serious. I’m earning big time. (joke lang)

Last Wednesday, I did not go with my dad because he has loads of meetings, and I was instructed to just stay at home since his agendas are so tiring, stressing, and everything. And he thinks I could not handle that, so I just stayed at home.

Usually, when I am left at home, all I do is just sit on the couch all day facing the TV, raid our fridge, and my forever habit, surf the net. But I wanted to have a new aura that day that instead of doing the usual things, I just watched the films I wasn’t able to watch last year.

Ok. Crazy Stupid Love. What can I say. It was such a good movie. It was so different than what I was expecting. I used to think that this film was full of nasty-ness and parent material stuff, but I was super wrong. It was definitely a good movie because of the smart casting, and the lessons you’d never thought would come from the movie. Steve Carell was perfectly fit for that character, and he was so funny. And of course my baby, Ryan Gosling, who showed his sexiness all throughout the movie, never failed to make me giggle. He is coupled with Emma Stone in that movie. It wasn’t so bad. Actually it was a good one, and I hope to see them star in a movie (a funny-love story maybe).

I wouldn’t go as far as to say that this movie has an original story plot, and is unpredictable. You would really enjoy watching this. Such a light movie, but has a lot of lessons. The film is for everyone.

I was supposed to watch another Emma Stone movie, The Help after, but I was too lazy to start another one. But that’s lined-up for this week!!

Last week, I also had the privilege to watch The Hunger Games with my friends! Sucks ’cause we weren’t able to enter the cinema on time, and it was single-screening only, so there weren’t really any chances of watching the first part. But I love the movie as I have loved the book although it had seriously disappointed inside me because there was much more of the pre-game than the actual game. HENCE, IT WAS A GOOD MOVIE OVERALL. Not great, not awesome, not brilliant, just GOOD.

Allow me to take an oath before ending this post. I should watch more movies and read more books this summer. I REALLY SHOULD. I should not have a day of boredom, of dullness, and of everything that might ruin my happy summer. Hahahahaha

May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favor

And there you go I’ve just finished the Hunger Games’ first book!!! I started reading just a week ago and I’ve spent mid-nights reading it. Gawd I’m so thankful for my friend Pauline, for letting me borrow her hand-me-down-book from her cousin+giving me a one week extension just to finish the book cause I guess it wasn’t a waste of time.

Hunger Games x Catching Fire x Mockingjay

This is actually the first suspense-book I have ever tried reading. And I must say I really enjoyed it! It was a whole different story from what I’ve expected. First I thought it was just some sort of a boring game with the antagonist and protagonist (bec I had no idea really what Hunger Games is). And in which the-protagonists-is-the-poor-one-then-takes-her-sister’s-place-in-the-game-then-winning… just like that. But eventually, as I’ve taken the journey with Katniss (it’s more lovely to say Catnip), I realized there was also some touch of romance built with Peeta Mellark, the other tribute from their district. Although it was just a kind of play to let them win. But I’ll cut my story just right there cause I want you to read it and be surprised yourself. Of course the story concludes throughout the other two books, Catching Fire and Mockingjay. And I have to say I’m so excited to start with Catching Fire!!!

My excitement burns more cause there’ll be a movie on March 23, 2012. YES! There’ll be a movie! And Liam Hemsworth’s gunna be there. Owem. But he’s not gunna be Peeta. He’s going to be Gale, Katniss’s hunting-buddy back home. But Peeta, who’s gunna be played by John Hutcherson, is surely gunna be hot, too! ❤ ❤ Watching the trailer makes me really wanna cry, no joke.

I’m so excited!!!!!!! 😀 😀 ❤

Having A Coke With You x Beastly

"Love is never ugly"

I have to say that this has been my favorite movie for this week. It has been a great time watching it. Alex Pettyfer was just so hot even in the beasty face moments. Awesome talaaaaggggaaaa. Vanessa Hudgens and him make a good pair. A sweeeeeet pair. And my favorite of course, the Poem part wherein the place (the garden in the movie – ya have to check it out) was soooo lovely. ❤ ❤

Having A Coke With You (Frank O Hara)

is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irún, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona
partly because in your orange shirt you look like a better happier St. Sebastian
partly because of my love for you, partly because of your love for yoghurt
partly because of the fluorescent orange tulips around the birches
partly because of the secrecy our smiles take on before people and statuary
it is hard to believe when I’m with you that there can be anything as still
as solemn as unpleasantly definitive as statuary when right in front of it
in the warm New York 4 o’clock light we are drifting back and forth
between each other like a tree breathing through its spectacles

and the portrait show seems to have no faces in it at all, just paint
you suddenly wonder why in the world anyone ever did them

I look
at you and I would rather look at you than all the portraits in the world
except possibly for the Polish Rider occasionally and anyway it’s in the Frick
which thank heavens you haven’t gone to yet so we can go together the first time
and the fact that you move so beautifully more or less takes care of Futurism
just as at home I never think of the Nude Descending a Staircase or
at a rehearsal a single drawing of Leonardo or Michelangelo that used to wow me
and what good does all the research of the Impressionists do them
when they never got the right person to stand near the tree when the sun sank
or for that matter Marino Marini when he didn’t pick the rider as carefully
as the horse

it seems they were all cheated of some marvelous experience
which is not going to go wasted on me which is why I am telling you about it

Some kilig interviews:

One more reason why I love Beastly is bec Pixie Lott sang most of the songs. And it was totally nice so I thought of sharing it.

🙂 🙂 🙂

PS: I luv u Alex Pettyfer

Must Watch: Final Destination 5

I have always been a fan of Final Destination and I think shouldn’t let myself not watch this. Final Destination 4 was awesome+thrilling but really bitin. As a matter of fact, I thought it was the last Final Destination movie because the title was “The Final Destination” -take note of the “The Final“. I really thought that it was. But all hail to Twitter and the Tweeps!! Because of the rumors (not actually rumors) and tweets that says “Oh gosh I want to watch FD5!!”, I was able to know that there is Final Destination 5.

At first, I wondered what on Earth is “FD5”. Call me the stupid-est but I really didn’t know what it is. Pero I also came up to a realization naman na Acronym lang pala yun. Hehehe 🙂

Thoughts about the movie: Final Destination is really morbid -that I think is a universal truth; but I think the newest FD will be way-more-morbid than ever. So excited with the new thrilling scenes!!

DEATH HAS NEVER BEEN CLOSER- Nakakatakot naman. Hehehe 🙂
