You have to understand that– I have the biggest adoration on Nicholas Sparks and the novels he wrote. I have The Last Song (where Miley acted as Ronnie in the movie) but I just read half of it and all-hail-to-laziness, I haven’t continued reading it up to now. Poor me. 😦 Plus, I’ve already blogged about A Walk To Remember and how I had the greatest time reading it. After reading that book, I realized that I can’t put my Nicholas Sparks-Novel Journey hanging so I bought a new novel of him, just few weeks ago in Fully Booked.
The Choice (the book I bought :)) Is the one I am currently reading. But I already actually killed my excitement. Guess why? -Spoiler si mommy. Bothered by the thought that she already finished the book before I was about to start reading it, I just can’t stop asking questions about how the book was. So yun. While we were on our trip in San Pablo, she told me all of it. And I was happy to know that for the first time… after reading half of the Last Song and A Walk To Remember… -no one died. YAHAY!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Synopsis – Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life—boating, swimming, and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies—he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door. Despite his attempts to be neighborly, the appealing redhead seems to have a chip on her shoulder about him…and the presence of her longtime boyfriend doesn’t help. Despite himself, Travis can’t stop trying to ingratiate himself with his new neighbor, and his persistent efforts lead them both to the doorstep of a journey that neither could have foreseen. Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage and family, The Choice ultimately confronts us with the most heartwrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive? I suppose you know
I suppose you know Gail, the one I’ve mentioned in my A Walk To Remember post who is also kinda-inlove (I think) with Mr. Sparks’ books. Speaking about her, she also bought a new novel titled The Lucky One. She’s really lucky because she had been able to read it over-the-weekends and last week I found her reading and realized she was halfway to the end. And now, just earlier in school, she’s just ONE CHAPTER APART TO THE EPILOGUE. Lucky her. 🙂 But we’ve already had a deal that after we finish our books, were goin to exchange it. YAHAY US. But now I wonder how could that happen. I’m sure she’s done with the entire novel tmrw and look at me, poor puppy. Wala pa ako sa 1/2 ng book.
Three Coincidences about our books. 1) In her book, Thibault guessed two names that start with letter “E” (bec of that photograph he got from somewhere I don’t know) -he guessed Erika and Elise. Those are our (me and my sister’s) second names. 2) Gabby Holland’s whole name is Gabrielle. And Gabby Hollands’s boyfriend’s name is Kevin. When I told Gail about this, she was so kilig. OK IT’S BECAUSE Gail’s whole name is Gabrielle and her boyfriend’s name is Kevin. Wow, right? 3) We bought the book on the exact date –Sunday. On the same bookstore –Fully Booked. And told me she is supposed to buy The Choice but her daddy told her The Lucky One got a better book cover. Just for that reason.
